We were originally supposed to have our annual "Day After" Christmas gathering with Wayne's extended family on the 26th, but the forecast was calling for lots of snow and bad travel, so it was postponed. Turns out, the weather was fine that day, but who knew?  So, on Jan. 2nd we rang in the New Year with a delayed gathering, food, gifts, and a white elephant exchange for the adults. It was lots of fun!

We had nothing to do on NYE this year, so we took the kids to the bowling alley for a little bit of fun & exercise. It was Natalie's true first time bowling, and she really liked it! She cried when we had to leave, but perked up when we took them to McDonald's for lunch afterwards.

Elmo goes everywhere with her these days, and she insisted that he "help" her roll the ball.

Christmas Day 2010

Seeing what Santa left

We woke up early Christmas morning, mainly due to Natalie's early riser schedule. Once Nick woke up, the kids got a chance to check out what Santa brought for them... they made out very well! After opening gifts and relaxing/playing with toys, we headed to my family's place in WV for food and more gift opening. We were glad we didn't have to rush anywhere else that day and the kids were tired (as usual) by the time we got back home. 

Christmas Eve 2010

We celebrated Christmas with Wayne's family on Christmas Eve, which is our tradition. The kids received lots of nice gifts and were exhausted after all the excitement of the day. Nick wrote his note to Santa and left cookies & carrots for him before both kids went to bed.
