We traveled to Rodanthe, NC on the Outer Banks for our family vacation in late May. The weather was fabulous all week and the kids had a blast! Last year, Natalie didn't enjoy the beach at all, but this year, she really liked the sand at least. We had a good time relaxing on the beach, hunting for crabs, sightseeing, and generally enjoying each other's company. In this gallery & those that follow, you'll see a few of our pics. The guys & kids built a giant sand castle "compound". This is the finished product (although a day or so later... more decorative elements, such as shells, were added to the sides).
